Outdoor Education

Frontier Camp is offering TWO Outdoor Education experiences! Interested? Read on!

˜The Outdoor Education Weekend is a hands-on science and outdoor activity program intended to foster each student’s relationship with their Creator and to promote good stewardship of God’s creation.  Instructional classes include both FC staff –led workshops and parent-child discovery times.  Topics include but are not limited to:

Archaeology—”hands on” learning at a realistic mock archeology dig site.  Learn about observing, mapping, analyzing and interpreting data.

Aquatic Ecology—go seine (not insane) and study lake producers and consumers up close!  Collection, identification, and counting of creatures that live in the shallow water.

Insects—bugs and more bugs!  Learn how to collect, identify, and mount insects for your very own collection to take home with you.

Wildlife Survey—look and touch!  Study preserved wildlife specimens and learn how creatures are designed to do what they do…

Fossil Hunt—a Frontier Camp classic.  Find and collect marine fossils of your very own in a beautiful spring-fed creek.  Learn more about the flood and geology.

Astronomy—the heavens declare the glory of the Lord!

Camp activities—In addition to these courses, Frontier Camp offers supervised recreational activities such as the Giant Swing, Tomahawk Throwing, Canoeing, Paddleboats, and group games.  Camp fires with worship and messages given from the Word of God augment the Biblical principles and worldview taught in the classes.  We teach from a literal 6-day creation and young-earth perspective!
