Angel Tree
For going on eight years, Frontier Camp has participated in Angel Tree Camping, a program started by Prison Fellowship Ministries. Churches in conjunction with partial funding from Prison Fellowship make this summer camp free to the children who have a parent in prison. Why focus on children of prisoners? Statistics indicate that one in six will end up in prison themselves. This is a cycle that must be broken and can be broken through the power of Jesus Christ.
Camp staff work for no or reduced pay this week because they want to contribute to these children being able to attend camp. During the week, parents can log on to the web site and view action-packed photos of the children and read a daily camp update from a camp director.
It is such a thrill to watch the children in action on horses, in canoes and experiencing the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the beauty of His creation.
On behalf of the 150 children ages 8 to 15 who will be attending camp each August, we ask that you and/or your church consider partnering with us to raise $205 per child. For more information, please contact us.
