Haiti 15, March 2020 – Thursday Update

Updated: Feb 27, 2022

Dear Friends:

Good evening from Northern Haiti. We have just finished our nightly study of Judges, highlighting Samson this evening following a study of Gideon last night. This morning before breakfast, we looked at Psalm 34, a beautiful Psalm of hope and praise. Most are heading off to bed now, and a few are still working on some details for day camp tomorrow, including mending a parachute.

The Lord gave us perfect weather for the mobile  program, and it only started to rain as the 166 new children from Bas Limbe were leaving. The American and Haitian team laughed and sang heartily to keep warm in the driving rain for the forty five minute trek back to Jacob’s Well in the open tap tap. These kind of experiences serve to bond our two groups, diminishing the cultural divide.

Tomorrow, Lord-willing, we will return with the Haitian counselors to help conduct one more day of mobile camp at the same location. The spot is just perfect with open areas for running, plenty of trees for shade, and cover in case of rain. Pray that the Gospel will penetrate hungry hearts with the message of hope our world desperately needs.

We are praying for you all there and for our nation’s leadership.  Thank you for your continued prayers for us.  We remain in excellent health and wonderful spirits as the Lord is so evident in His blessing of the work here.  We are humbled and so thankful to be a part of His work through your faithful support and encouragement.

“May the Lord bless you and keep you.  The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious until you.  The Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.”

Good Night (Bon Nwit)
