At Frontier Camp, we collect SMS opt-in consent verbally from individuals who interact with us either in person at our location or over the phone when they contact us. During that initial conversation, we ask for their phone number and whether they would like to opt in to receive SMS messages, including donation and volunteer opportunities, updates, and informational messages.

We clearly communicate that message and data rates may apply, message frequency may vary, and that they can text HELP for support or STOP at any time to unsubscribe. We also inform them that their phone number will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions are provided in our official registration materials.

After a person provides verbal consent, we send a follow-up text message to confirm their opt-in. This message includes the same disclosures and gives them another opportunity to confirm or decline participation:

“This is Frontier Camp. Reply YES to confirm you want to receive donation and volunteer requests, updates, and informational SMS messages. Message frequency may vary, and message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of donation. You can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe or HELP for help.”
