BELIZE 3 - UPDATE 4 (THURSDAY)

12/18/2025

Today was a sunshiney day in Belize. We started the day with personal devos and coffee (but first coffee am i right ;)). Then we enjoyed a fantastic spread of local fruit, a sweet, tasty, flip flappin fryjacks and omlets before we headed to the local park in the village to begin our day with the kids!

The morning consisted of pipe cleaner creations, soccer, lots of freeze catch and many smiling faces. We got a chance to deepen relationships with the kids who have been coming all week and got to start to form new relationships with the newcomers!

After the morning camp session, we packed up our things and walked back to the Ministry House where we feasted on some chicken wraps and prepared for the afternoon with the kids. As we were preparing for the afternoon, the people from the Ministry House brought us a bunny to hold! He was verrryyy fluffy and gave us some great cuddles! After that, we headed back to the local park ready to welcome kids for the afternoon session.

In the afternoon we did three stations for the kids. We had crafts, sharks and minnows, and parachute games. The craft was gospel bracelets that explained to the kids what Jesus did for them! We then sang Pharoah Pharoah and had another fantastic bible drama skit over Daniel 4. Many relationships were built with the kids at each station and not a frown was in sight! So much fun and excitement was held by our team and the kids!

On our way back to Samuels Sanctuary, we walked on the side of the road to the Country Barn for some ice cream! Kennedy got coconut and Emerson got pumpkin pie and they shared a bite of each other's ice cream, like sisters do!

When we got back to Samuel’s Sanctuary we headed down to the river where we slid down some waterslides. We cleaned up then headed to dinner where we had lasagna with special cheese from the Country Barn.

This evening we went back to the village to help facilitate the children’s Bible study that is held on Thursday nights. We got to do another bible drama over Daniel 5 and got the opportunity to explicitly explain the gospel to the kids! We ended the time handing out candy and playing a game of Simon Says and a rock paper scissors tournament. Then we headed back to Samuel’s Sanctuary where we did a team devo led by Karsten over Habakkuk 2:6-20 and debriefed our day.

There were so many relationships created and established today and we are so excited to see what the Lord has planned for our last day with the kiddos! We ask that you pray for our endurance and joy as we finish out this week with these sweet kids!
