Belize Update 6 - January 7th, 2025

Today started with our morning Bible study at 7:15 A.M. Our study was over Titus 2:11-15, and the main theme of the passage was renouncing our sinful nature and doing the works of Christ while zealously waiting for Him to return. After our bible study, we had an amazing breakfast of eggs, toast, beans, and bacon. Once we finished breakfast and cleaned up, we got dressed and headed straight to Jaguar Reef.
There we got to swim, paddleboard/kayak, and jump into the ocean, which was extremely blue and slightly wavey, but amazing and extremely fun. After swimming and playing, we got lunch at the Paddle House in the Jaguar Reef resort. It was incredible and filling. Once we finished, we hung out in the hanging beds that looked out over the ocean till around 2:00 p.m., and then we did some souvenir shopping at a local shop called GariMaya and got various items and coffees as well.
Once we finished there, we headed back to Samuel’s Sanctuary in time for dinner. We had an unbelievable lasagna and garlic bread dinner and then celebrated Rex Jenkins’ 18th birthday with an amazing carrot cake with coconut. Following dinner, we started to pack for our trip back to Texas. Once we finished debriefing with Dino, we got to watch the movie, Jesus Revolution. This movie is based on the revolution that happened in the early 70s. It was an incredible film to watch.
After it finished, we all went to bed to be ready for tomorrow. Have a good night!
